Volkswagen announces to expand Foshan Plant to build electric cars in China
As we know that Foshan Plant which is a joint venture of FAW and Wolkswagen is already producing 300,000 cars per year. According to new report we have learned that FAW-Volkswagen is expanding Foshan Plant to double it’s capacity.
Volkswagen announces that this increased capacity will be used to build more electric cars. Regulations in China are pushing many local and international auto makers to make more electric cars. China relaxed many rules to facilitate auto makers to increase electric car production in 2018, and we will be able to same in 2019.
Volkswagen sees great demand of electric cars in China and Europe and trying it’s best to increase electric cars production to meet their 2025 goal to produce 1 Million electric cars per year.
